Golden Dragon® was created as a heartfelt tribute to my mother, Bernice Ai, in celebration of her 90th birthday. Launched in 2024—fittingly, the Year of the Dragon—this site honors her lifelong dedication to family, heritage, and the art of meaningful curation. It represents a bridge between generations, blending the past and present through a collection of Orientalia antiques, vintage pieces, and modern art.
Our story began in 1970 in Glenview, Illinois, when Golden Dragon Gift Shop opened its doors. Inspired by the triumph of the 1969 Taiwan Little League World Champions—The Golden Dragons—the name was a tribute to pride, perseverance, and cultural identity. The shop later evolved into Golden Dragon Oriental Imports, becoming a beloved destination for those seeking beautiful, handpicked treasures from the East.
